The Presidential candidates of the 18 political parties vying for the No 1 Office in the Federal Republic of Nigeria have signed the 2nd and final Peace Accord towards a peaceful 2023 General Elections.
The Chairman of National Peace Committee, General Abdulsalami Abubakar (rtd.), lamented the non-compliance to the spirit of the September 1st Peace Accord signed, which committed the candidates to Issue Based Campaign.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu disclosed that the Commission has commenced Distribution of Sensitive materials to states from yesterday, reassuring that the commission will remain apolitical.
President Buhari in a message advised the candidates contesting in the general election to “respect the choice and voice” of the electorate.
