President Joe Biden of the US has been giving a speech in Poland, after Vladmir Putin raged against the West in an address earlier.
Biden says Kyiv stands “strong, tall, proud and free” despite Russia invading Ukraine a year ago on Friday.
Earlier today, Vladimir Putin spoke at length about Russia’s war against Ukraine in a State of the Nation address.
He blamed the West for provoking the war and escalating it, saying the US and its allies sought “limitless power.”
The speech came ahead of the first anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on Friday.
