The Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Nigeria, Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Balawi, has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening economic relations with Nigeria following a high-level meeting with Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group.
The meeting, held on Friday at the ambassador’s residence in Abuja’s Diplomatic Quarter, focused on expanding cooperation across key sectors such as energy, industry and infrastructure.
Speaking after the engagement, Al-Balawi said the talks reflect growing momentum in Saudi–Nigerian economic relations and a shared commitment to deepen collaboration. He noted that both countries enjoy a strong and evolving partnership and are looking to build on it through strategic investments.
Discussions also centred on outcomes from Dangote’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia, with particular attention on investment opportunities available to the Dangote Group in the Kingdom.
The ambassador further highlighted prospects for Saudi investors within the Group’s operations, noting increasing interest in expanding their footprint in Nigeria and across Africa.
