President Bola Tinubu has assigned portfolios to his Ministers-designate.
Announcing the list to State House Correspondents, the Special Adviser to the President on Media, Ajuri Ngelale named Mr Wale Edun as Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, while the Minister of Power is Adedayo Adelabu.
Nyesom Wike was named FCT Minister, while Minister of State, FCT is – Mairiga Mahmud.
Abubakar Kyari emerged Minister of Agriculture and Food Security; Dr Ali Pate is Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Development; while Muhammed Idris is Minister of Information & National Orientation.
Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Presidential Spokesman said the Ministers will be sworn-in, in the coming days, most likely after the Ministerial retreat, billed tentatively for next week.
He noted that the Minister of Environment and Ecological Management is yet to be named but has been zoned to Kaduna State. He also added that Ministry of Niger Delta may be scrapped and likely to be put under the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Office.
Other appointments include; Festus Keyamo as Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Dele Alake as Minister of Solid Minerals Development- Muhammad Badaru as Minister of Defence – Bello Matawalle as Minister of State Defence – Tahir Momoh as Minister of Education – Ahmed Dangiwa as Minister of Housing and Urban Development – Atiku Bagudu as Minister of Budget and Economic Planning – Sa’idu Alkali as Minister of Interior – Yusuf Tuggar as Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ibrahim Gaidam as Minister of Police Affairs – Shuaibu Audu as Minister of Steel Development – Lateef Fagbemi as Attorney General of Federal and Minister of Justice – Simon Lalong as Minister of Labour and Employment – Betta Edu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Abubakar Momoh as Minister of Youth, John Enoh as Minister of Sports Development, Ekperikpe Ekpo as Minister of State, Gas Resources, and Heineken Lokpobiri as Minister of State, Petroleum Resources, amongst others. —
