The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that a total of 171,956 applicants have been shortlisted for the computer-based test following the conclusion of the credential and physical screening exercise held nationwide.
In a statement released by the PSC spokesperson, Ikechukwu Ani, on Thursday, it was revealed that the successful applicants will undergo the computer-based test on March 5, 2024. The test is for candidates applying for general duty positions within the police force.
Additionally, Ani stated that 43,778 applicants from the specialists cadre will also go through practical tests, the date of which will be announced soon by the Commission.
Kaduna State leads the pack with the highest number of candidates for the tests, totaling 12,343. It is followed by Bauchi with 10,911 applicants, Benue with 10,532, and Katsina with 10,457 candidates. On the other hand, Anambra State has the lowest number of candidates with only 343 applicants, followed by Lagos with 504 and Ebonyi with 600.
Successful candidates from the computer-based test will proceed to undergo medical examinations before embarking on training.
