Obi, Kwankwaso Join NDC After Closed-Door Meeting

Former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, and former Kano State governor, Musa Kwankwaso, have officially joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

Obi, who was the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), and Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the same election, were presented with their NDC membership cards following a closed-door meeting with party leaders.

Their defection from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) was met with enthusiasm from supporters who gathered to witness the development.

The duo was formally received into the party by former Bayelsa State governor and NDC national leader, Seriake Dickson, who welcomed them into the fold.
