Kaduna Imposes 24-Hour Curfew In Chikun LGA Over Killings

The Kaduna State Government has imposed a 24-hour curfew on Sabon Garin Nassarawa communities in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state following the killing of two persons.

According a short statement by the state commissioner for INTERNAL SECURITY AND HOME AFFAIRS, Samuel Aruwan, the curfew is with immediate effect, following a breakdown of law and order in an incident of urban gang violence, while investigation into the incident has commenced.

Still in Kaduna, the Military high command has confirmed that its troops within the weekend neutralized 11 terrorists in FIVE VILLAGES in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

In a statement issued in Abuja, the Director, Defence Media Operations (DDMO), Maj Gen Musa Danmadami, said troops of Operation Whirl Punch, in conjunction with Defence Headquarters Special Forces, conducted clearance operations in terrorists’ enclaves villages all in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
