The Federal Executive Council has approved the award of a contract for the construction of suitable accommodation of over 100 flats for officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to be situated in the nation’s capital, FCT.
Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami said this approval is part of measures to provide security for the narcotics officers and agents who have been open to harassment and threats by perpetrators of the drug crimes.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mohammad Abubakar said the Council approved the review of the 2022 national agricultural seed policy with the aim of providing Nigerian farmers easy access to quality seeds that can compete in the world market.
Meanwhile, the Federal Ministry Of Transportation has sought and gotten approval of the council for the provisions of four customised fire service search and rescue vans for the sea ports in Port Harcourt, Tin-can Island and Marina national ports authority headquarters in Lagos at the sum of 510.9 million naira.
