Manchester City close to within three points of Arsenal at the top of the English Premier League table with a 3-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday.
The Gunners’ 1-1 draw at home to Brentford on Saturday opened the door for City, Arsenal still have a game in hand, but City will now move to the top of the table should they win at the Emirates in midweek.
Other results from the premier league this weekend, saw Manchester United beat Leeds 2-nil, West Ham United drew 1-1 with Chelsea, Crystal Palace drew 1-1 with Brighton, Bournemouth drew 1-1 with Newcastle, Fulham beat Nottingham Forest 2-nil, Leicester City defeated Tottenham Hotspur 4-1, and Southampton lost 2-1 to Wolverhampton Wanderers.
