DJ Sumbody, a well-known South African music producer and the creator of the well-known Amapiano sound, has passed away.

According to numerous reports, unidentified shooters approached his group’s car on Woodmead Road and fired a barrage of shots into it.

The disc jockey and one of his bodyguards were struck by the bullets and died instantaneously. The police in Gauteng confirmed the attack and said they are looking for suspects.

It has not yet been confirmed why DJ Sumbody and his group were the targets of a horrific attack.
