Burna Boy, 2Baba & Teni, Others to Receive National Honors

Grammy-winning Afrobeats singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu AKA Burna Boy, Afrobeats icon and multi-award winning artist Innocent 2Baba Idibia, and singing sensation Teni Apata are set to receive national awards from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The trio are among the 437 nominees shortlisted to receive national honors in celebration of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence.

The award, set to take place on October 11th in Aso Rock, is in recognition of their accomplishments in music and their service to the country in various capacities.

Burna Boy appears at number 53 on the list of 75 shortlisted for the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic (MFR), while 2Baba and Teni appear on numbers 22 and 23 on the list of 56 shortlisted for the Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).
