The West African Examinations Council has announced an extension to the registration period for the 2025 WASSCE for Private Candidates, First Series.

The initial registration deadline, set for Monday, January 6, 2025, has now been extended to Monday, January 20, 2025, allowing candidates to generate their Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) by that date, and required to complete their biometrics capture and finalise their online registration by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

In a statement shared via its official X account, WAEC informed intending Private candidates who register independently of a school or institution, also known as the General Certificate Examination (GCE) that the extension provides additional time for those wishing to sit for the examination.
