Tribunal Approves Substituted Service Of Jandor’s Petition On Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Ikeja has granted leave to the Governorship Candidate of the PDP in the state, Dr Azeez Adediran popularly known as Jandor, for a substituted service of an election petition on the state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Adediran and his party, the PDP, had told the tribunal that he was unable to effect personal service of the petition – as respondents were not physically present to receive the court process.

The tribunal had also granted that Adediran should serve his counterpart in the Labour Party, Mr Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in the same way. The respondents in the petition are the INEC, the Governor of Lagos, his deputy, Dr Hamzat Obafemi; APC, Rhodes-Vivour and the Labour P
