A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned proceedings in the money laundering case involving Binance Holdings Limited and two of its executives, Tigran Gambaryan and Nadeem Anjarwalla, until May 17 for the continuation of trial.
During Thursday’s proceedings, counsel to the defendants, Tony Krukrubo, informed the court that he had not yet received the additional proof of evidence.
The court bailiff revealed that efforts to serve Gambaryan the documents in Kuje prison on April 30 were unsuccessful, as Gambaryan vehemently refused to accept the service and directed the bailiff to serve the documents on Binance Holdings Limited’s lawyer.
In response, Justice Emeka Nwite, the trial judge, ordered that Binance’s counsel be served the documents in court. Following the service, the judge adjourned the matter until May 17 for trial to continue.
“This matter will now be adjourned till May 17 for trial,” Justice Nwite stated.
