Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has joined the film industry as an actress and producer.

She announced that her debut film, ‘Water and Garri,’ will be released later this year, with her as the
lead actor.

She explained via her social media page on Wednesday that the film, which took two years to make, will
be aired in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The announcement keeps her in the news, which comes 24 hours after it was reported that she had
lodged a police complaint against Grammy nominee Davido, accusing him of making threats against her.

The petition has since been acknowledged by the police.
