President Bola Tinubu today (Monday) swore in Tax Policy Expert, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele as the new Minister of State for Finance at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

Mr President speaking at the swearing-in ceremony, as Mr. Oyedele officially joined the Federal Executive Cabinet, praised Oyedele’s track record of dedication, noting that while the road to economic recovery is challenging, his leadership is “critical” for the nation’s sustainable growth.

Addressing State House Correspondents after taking his oath of office, Mr Oyedele pledged his unwavering commitment to national service. He acknowledged the weight of the office, vowing to apply his decades of experience to create a more transparent and efficient financial framework.

With Oyedele now at the helm alongside the senior Finance Minister, Wale Edun, the Tinubu administration aims to aggressively drive revenue management and institutionalize deep-rooted fiscal reforms. The move is expected to bridge the gap between policy theory and practical execution, potentially unlocking new revenue streams for the federation.
