President Bola Tinubu has ordered Nigeria’s security forces and intelligence units to urgently mobilise and secure the release of people taken during the latest mass abduction in Niger State.

The President issued the directive after reports of abductions and killings in the state, which he condemned as a brutal attack on civilians.

Tinubu tasked the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, DSS and other security agencies with coordinating the rescue effort and tracking down those behind the attacks.

He described the perpetrators as “enemies of peace and enemies of humanity” and vowed that authorities would hold them accountable.

Tinubu also assured Niger residents that his administration would strengthen security operations to protect communities and confront terrorism and other criminal activities.

He expressed solidarity with victims and their families and pledged federal support for security reinforcement, relief and recovery efforts.
