In a cabinet reshuffle announced Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has nominated Taiwo Oyedele as the new Minister of State for Finance.
Oyedele, the 50-year-old economist who previously chaired the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, will replace Dr. Doris Anite-Uzoka.
​According to presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, the President has formally requested the Senate’s confirmation in a letter addressed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio. Following her exit from the Finance Ministry, Dr. Anite-Uzoka will transition to the Ministry of Budget and National Planning as Minister of State—marking her third portfolio under the current administration.
