President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, on her election as the first democratically elected female President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
In a statement, Tinubu described her victory as a landmark achievement for the legal profession, saying it reflects the growing recognition of women’s leadership and contributions to justice and national development.
The President expressed confidence that Badejo-Okusanya would strengthen the rule of law, champion judicial reforms and improve access to justice during her tenure.
Badejo-Okusanya won the NBA presidential election with 12,317 votes, becoming the association’s 33rd President and only the second woman to lead the body since its establishment in 1933.
