The Federal Ministry of Works has announced a total closure of the Third Mainland Bridge for 24 hours to facilitate a crucial phase of ongoing repair works.
The closure, scheduled to commence at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 28, and end at 12 noon on Thursday, February 29, 2024, will affect both bounds of the carriageways.
The announcement was made by the Lagos State Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, in a statement issued on Monday.
Osiyemi urged all road users to utilize alternative routes provided during this period, as the bridge will not be accessible to traffic for the entire 24-hour duration.
Osiyemi assured road users that traffic management officials would be deployed to manage traffic and minimize inconveniences.
