American pop star, Taylor Swift, has made history as the first female artiste to hit 100 billion streams on Spotify.

The streaming platform confirmed the milestone after a review of her account, showing that the award-winning singer had surpassed the mark.

Music data platform, Chart Masters, also ranked Swift as the second highest earner on Spotify, raking in an estimated $7.71 million in the past year. She is only behind Canadian rapper, Drake, whose earnings stand at $7.72 million.

Swift, who has earned 14 Grammy awards and consistently topped charts, was recently named byForbes as the first musician to become a billionaire solely from music and performances, with an estimated net worth of $1.6 billion.
