Canadian rapper and singer Drake leads this year’s nominations with a total of seven, while Trinidadian-born rapper Nicki Minaj follows closely with six nominations. These two artists are among the most highly anticipated contenders of the night.

One of the highlights of the evening will be the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to the legendary US singer, songwriter, and dancer, Usher. This prestigious honor recognizes Usher’s extensive contributions to the music industry over the years.

The BET Awards are renowned for their electrifying performances, and this year promises to be no exception. The lineup includes American artists Lauryn Hill, Ice Spice, and actor Will Smith, who will debut a new song.

 Adding an international flair to the event, South African singer Tyla will also perform, showcasing her talent on the global stage.
