Both men have been ordered into custody, with Emefiele remanded in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and Omoile directed to the Ikoyi Prison.

This decision follows the court’s hearing of bail applications filed by their counsel, AbdulHakeem Labi-Lawal.During the hearing, Labi-Lawal implored the court to consider granting Emefiele bail either on self-recognizance or on the most liberal terms available. A similar request was made for Omoile.

Notably, the EFCC counsel, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Rotimi Oyedepo, did not oppose the bail applications. Instead, Oyedepo urged the court to exercise its discretion in determining the appropriate bail terms.

The ruling on bail has been adjourned until Thursday, April 11, marking the next significant milestone in the legal proceedings.
