The Super Eagles and Super Falcons are in contention for the Men’s and Women’s National Team of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards.
The two teams made the final shortlist in each of the category.
Ademola Lookman will also battle four other players:Simon Adingra, Serhou Guirassy, Achraf Hakimi and Ronwen Williams for the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year.
Falconets forward, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu, will battle Egypt’s Habiba Sabry and Doha El Madani of Morocco for the 2024 CAF Women’s Young Player of the Year.
Okwuchukwu starred for the Falconets at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and scored two goals in four outings at the competition.
Meanwhile, Edo Queens have made the final shortlist for the 2024 CAF Women’s Club of the Year.
The two other clubs nominated for the award are African champions TP Mazembe and AS FAR of Morocco.
The 2024 CAF Awards will hold in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, December 16.
