Spotify unveils “Sound of Nigeria” to Celebrate 64th Independence

Spotify, an online streaming platform, has unveiled a soundtrack, “The Sound of Hope”, to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Anniversary.

Its Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, PhionaOkumu, who disclosed this in a statement yesterday, said the “Sounds of Nigeria” campaign aims to honourthe country’s rich musical heritage, which has long been a unifying force and a source of pride for Nigerians.

Okumu said starting from Sept. 29, to Oct. 3, music lovers would be able to discover music destinations celebrating Nigeria’s independence within the Afro and Afrobeats hubs on Spotify, with selection of destinations that also includes the “Good Old NaijaDays”, “Naija New School”, and the “Naija No DeyCarry Last”.
