Controversial social media critic Martin Otse, known online as VeryDarkMan, has been remanded in police custody until his next court hearing scheduled for next Wednesday. 

Otse was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, facing charges of cyberbullying against Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dike. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Otse’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, applied for bail during the hearing. However, the prosecution requested more time to respond, prompting the court to adjourn the bail hearing to May 29.
