Sen. David Umahi Vows to Prioritize Quality Road Infrastructure Within Budgetary Constraints

The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi, has underscored the importance of efficient road infrastructure and pledged to uphold their commitment to delivering quality roads within budgetary constraints.

Umahi who made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja as he inaugurated a committee on road supervision across the Benin – Warri roads, stated that road maintenance is a vital part of their contracts, and the committee will ensure its implementation.

The minister who discussed ongoing projects in several sections and outlined plans for addressing the challenges faced in these areas, assured contractors of fair practices but emphasized that new projects would not be awarded on a hash-mark basis.

Umahi however hinted that Mr President has released funds to fix all collapsed brigdes and especially the maintenance of third main land bridge in Lagos.
