Lagos Governor Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered an investigation into the light aircraft crash which occurred on Tuesday afternoon at Oba Akran avenue in Ikeja.
According to reports, the accident occurred while the light aircraft was on a training exercise with four male crew members on board comprising two Nigerians and two foreigners before crashing into an old communication pole opposite UBA, inward Ikeja bus stop.
Speaking, the Governor who was on the spot assessment, said the injured were receiving treatment at the hospital whilst also thanking Lagos State emergency agencies who relentlessly cleared the road of debris, and two individuals who participated to put out the fire.
Contrary to initial report of an helicopter crash, the Lagos state emergency management agency however cleared the air that it was a light aircraft and not an helicopter.
