Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced that the Red Line Rail project, covering the route from Agbado to Otto, is ready for commissioning.
In a post on his Instagram page, the governor expressed his excitement, noting that the inauguration of the project is just weeks away. Sanwo-Olu highlighted the significance of the Red Line Rail project in providing relief for commuters and enhancing transportation for millions of Lagos residents.
During a meeting with the China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) in Beijing, Sanwo-Olu reiterated the commitment to completing the second phase of the Blue Line Rail project. He emphasized the importance of an integrated transportation system for the residents of Lagos and expressed gratitude for the collaboration with CCECC and support from partners.
The governor also mentioned discussions about the 4th Mainland Bridge, stating that the project would commence shortly.
Sanwo-Olu concluded by sharing that President Bola Tinubu has agreed to grace the occasion of the Red Line Rail’s official commissioning, signaling a significant step forward in addressing traffic and transportation challenges in Lagos.
