Rivers United are out of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The team lost 2-1 on aggregate after losing 2-nil in Algiers in the return leg of their quarter-final clash against the Algerian side, USM Alger, who are Last season’s winners of the competition.

They had won the first leg 1-nil at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo last Sunday and needed to hold on in their bid to scale through it to the semi-final of the competition.

The reverse fixture will take place next week Sunday.
