Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ Set To Break New Record As Longest-Charting African Song On Billboard HOT 100

Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ has now spent 35 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, which is the same amount of time that Wizkid’s ‘Essence’ feat Tems & Justin Bieber stayed on the chart, setting a new African record.

Additionally, Rema has broken his previous African record by entering at No. 5, making it the highest-charting African song.

With one more week on the chart, Rema will hold the new African record for the longest charting song.

Ever since the remix of ‘Calm Down’ was released featuring Selena Gomez, Rema has gained worldwide recognition as the single achieved significant milestones such as obtaining a Diamond certification in France, Platinum certifications in the UK and the US, and various certifications in other countries.
