The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal Abuja is expected to begin pre-hearing in the petitions challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election today May 8, 2023.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission had declared the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu as winner of the poll with 8,794,726 votes

But some other candidates in that election rejected the results announced by INEC and had approached the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to annul Tinubu’s victory.

It is expected at court today that there would be the scheduling of the hearing, the number of witnesses, process to admit documents among others.
