The Presidency has reaffirmed that there will be no increase in Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) pump prices across the nation as widely speculated in the media.
Addressing State House Correspondents yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Ajuri Ngelale, said President Bola Tinubu has promised to address the inadequacies along the supply, demand and distribution value chain in the downstream sector as the prices of crude oil and foreign exchange continues to increase.
Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Presidential Spokesman also berated the Organized Labour’s agitation and threat to embark on aggressive nationwide strike upon the rumoured price increase without research or confirmation of facts on the matter.
Ajuri further maintained that the Petroleum Deregulation policy remains. Highlighting the daily brief of the President as provided by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL), the presidency revealed graphics of pms pump prices in the West African sub-region while urging Nigerians to be more patient as the administration works hard to make life better.
