Senator Francis Fadahunsi has rejected allegations that he called for violence against Accord Party members ahead of Saturday’s Osun governorship election, describing the viral video behind the claim as misleading.

Fadahunsi said the video removed key parts of his statement. He maintained that he was responding to alleged attacks on APC members in Ilesa and warned that his party would defend its members if the violence continued.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, however, accused the senator of promoting violence and called on Inspector General of Police Tunji Disu to arrest and investigate him.

Adeleke described the senator’s remarks as a national security concern, insisting that political figures must face the law if their actions threaten public safety.

The governor also urged the police and DSS to investigate the matter and called for an end to what he described as the unlawful arrest of Accord Party leaders across the state.

With the election approaching, both sides have intensified their claims, raising fresh concerns over political violence and security in Osun.
