Former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC and Senator representing Edo north, Adams Oshiomhole, has called on the Organised Labour to prioritize the rights of workers rather than engage in partisan politics.
Reacting to the Ongoing strike actions embarked on by the NLC and TUC, the former Edo State governor speaking with journalists at the presidential villa, Abuja, reaffirmed his strong affiliations with the Labour Union, noting that the ongoing strike is motivated by political considerations rather than a clear worker-focused purpose.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Sen Osshiomole who condemned the brutalization of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero in Imo by hoodlums, also opined that the labour union should have focused on confronting state governments to implement N30000 minimum wage and other yearnings of Nigerians workers.
