Nollywood actors and fans are showing their support for veteran Yoruba actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo as he faces stage-four cancer.

Hassan’s daughter appealed for help on August 17, saying her father remains determined but has struggled to access hospitals willing to treat his condition.

The family says it does not need financial assistance. Instead, it wants support in finding experienced oncologists and medical facilities equipped to provide the specialised treatment Hassan needs.

The appeal has sparked an outpouring of support from colleagues across Nollywood. Award-winning actor and filmmaker Femi Adebayo has urged fellow actors, fans and well-wishers to stand with Hassan as he undergoes treatment.

Hassan remains one of the most recognisable figures from the Yoruba film industry, with a career spanning several decades.
