Nike, the renowned sportswear brand, has officially unveiled the new jerseys for the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles, ahead of the 2024–2025 football season.
The unveiling took place with a launch video posted on Nike’s Instagram page on Monday, showcasing the bold and innovative designs of the new kits.
The post on Nike’s Instagram page described the 2024 Super Eagles kits as disruptive and featuring “Dri-FIT ADV innovation,” indicating that each kit is engineered to meet the needs of modern footballers from kick-off to the final whistle.
The home jersey features green hoops at the ends of the sleeves and shorts, adding a distinctive touch to the classic white design. Across the breast of the jersey, the word “Naija” is boldly written in green, celebrating Nigeria’s national identity and pride.
In a nod to Nigeria’s national colours, the away uniform is adorned with a pastel version of the traditional dark green pattern, creating a stylish and eye-catching look for the Super Eagles on the field.
The Super Eagles are expected to wear the new jerseys during their 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign, adding excitement and anticipation for fans eager to see their team in action. The team’s third qualifying match is slated for June 3 at home against South Africa, followed by a trip to Benin Republic seven days later.
Before the World Cup qualifiers, the Super Eagles will embark on friendly matches against Ghana and Mali at the Grand Stade de Marrakech in Morocco on March 22 and 26, respectively, providing an early opportunity to showcase the new jerseys on the international stage.
