Nigeria’s Relay teams seal automatic qualifications to Olympics in Paris

Nigeria Men’s 4x400m relay team have qualified for Paris 2024 Olympic after placing second in Heat 2 at the world athletics relays in Bahamas.

Competing in heat 2, the quartet of Chidi Okezie, Dubem Nwachukwu, Dubem Amene and Sikiru Adeyemi finished second, thus helping the team pick one of the two automatic spot for the Olympics.

Also, Nigeria’s mixed relay team of Samuel Ogazi, Ella Onojuwevwo, Chidi Okezie and Esther Elo Joseph, clinched automatic qualification for the games after finishing second in Heat 2 of their event.

The quartet of Justina Eyakpobeyan, Favour Ofili, Olayinka Olajide, and Tima Godbless also secured qualification in the women’s 4x100m relays.
