Nigeria’s national basketball team, D’Tigers, has decided to withdraw from the 2025 Afrobasket qualifiers, scheduled to begin on Friday.

The team cited a lack of funding from the Federal Government as the reason for its withdrawal.

D’Tigers were placed in Group B of the qualifiers, alongside Cape Verde, Uganda, and Libya, with the aim of securing a spot in next year’s Afrobasket tournament.
