National Assembly extends implementation of 2023 appropriation, supplementary acts till December

The National Assembly has approved an extension to the implementation of the Capital aspect of the Appropriation Act, 2023 from 30 June 2024 to 31 December 2024 following a request by President Bola Tinubu.

The two chambers also passed a bill for an Act to amend the implementation of the 2023 supplementary appropriation bill till 31st December, 2024.

The passage followed the emergency plenary convened which was presided by the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio and Speaker House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas in the two chambers.

Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the implementation of the 2023 supplementary by implication would run concurrently with that of the 2024 which stands at N28.78 trillion.
