Ezeh Chisom, popularly known as Rexxie, a renowned music producer, has made a distress call for assistance after being detained at the Ugandan immigration office.
He took to Instagram on Monday morning to appeal for his release, describing the situation as unfair.
In his Instagram post, Rexxie wrote, “I’ve been arrested at the Ugandan immigration. Please, I need help! This is so unfair! Help help help!!! #UgandaFreeRexxie.”
However, he did not provide details regarding the reason for his arrest.
This incident echoes similar cases involving Nigerian musicians in Uganda. In 2020, the Uganda Police Force arrested two Nigerian artists, Omah Lay and Tems, for allegedly violating COVID-19 protocols. Their arrest occurred after their participation in The Big Brunch event held at Speke Resort in Kampala, Uganda.
