The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi has passed a vote of no confidence on the construction work done on the East-West Road in Bayelsa/Rivers states in the Niger Delta region of the country.
The Minister who stated this during an inspection of the dualization of East-West Road Section-II 54km in Rivers states, decried the poor construction job being done on the road, insisting that Nigerians must get a value for the billions of naira spent on infrastructures especially road projects.
The Minister further noted that he has discussed with the Edo State Governor building a bye-pass on the section of the road that passes through his state in order to reduce traffic gridlock on the road.
