Spain’s World Cup-winning team received a rousing homecoming as an estimated two million fans lined the streets of Madrid to celebrate the nation’s second FIFA World Cup title.

The squad travelled through the Spanish capital aboard an open-top bus, waving to supporters who filled major streets dressed in Spain’s national colours before the celebrations culminated at the iconic Cibeles Square.

Players and coaching staff, led by manager Luis de la Fuente, were introduced individually to the crowd as music, singing and celebrations continued late into the evening. Captain Rodri proudly lifted the World Cup trophy during the event, marking the team’s return after their historic triumph.

Speaking during the celebrations, Rodri described winning the World Cup with Spain as the greatest achievement of his career, saying no club title compares to lifting football’s biggest prize with his country.
