Manchester United have completed the signing of Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba from Brighton & Hove Albion, adding another major midfield reinforcement to their squad.

The 22-year-old becomes United’s third midfield addition this summer, with the reported transfer fee reaching £70 million ($95 million)

The deal pushes the club’s spending on midfielders during the transfer window beyond £150 million.

Baleba welcomed the move to Old Trafford, calling United his “dream club” and describing the chance to play at the stadium as a major honour.

The midfielder also expressed excitement about working with Michael Carrick, saying the coach’s experience could help him develop and reach his full potential.
