Lagos State Government extends work-from-home policy

Lagos State Government extends work-from-home policy

The Lagos State Government has extended its work-from-home policy for civil servants for an additional three months.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu approved the extension in a circular issued on Wednesday, signed by the state’s Head of Service, Bode Agoro.

The directive allows workers on grade levels 01 to 14 to work from home for two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 are permitted to work from home for one day each week.

This decision is part of efforts to mitigate the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy on the workforce. Governor Sanwo-Olu noted in the circular that the policy has had a positive impact on workers’ productivity across the various ministries, departments, and agencies in the state.

The work-from-home arrangement was initially introduced to ease transportation challenges and provide flexibility for workers.
