Lagos State Government Commences Demolition of Illegal Structures in Lekki Area

The Lagos State Government has commenced the demolition of illegal structures and shanties located around the Jakande Estate and Maiyegun areas in Lekki. 

Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources, made this announcement via his official social media handle.

Wahab shared a video clip showcasing the ongoing demolition activities at the site, emphasizing the government’s commitment to removing unauthorized structures in the area. 

In his caption, the Commissioner explained that the enforcement action aims to reclaim the coastal road alignment for the Lagos – Calabar Highway project initiated by the Federal Government.
