Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has emerged WINNER of the 2023 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.
Fintiri had locked horns with the only woman-governorship candidate in the 2023 Guber polls, Aishatu ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the Adamawa governorship poll inconclusive.
According to the final results, Fintiri polled 430, 861 votes to beat his closest rival, Binani of the APC, who scored 398,738 votes. The announcement by the INEC was done this evening at 5:49 pm.
INEC had on Sunday suspended collation in Adamawa after Ari announced Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru of the APC; as winner over the incumbent, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of the PDP.
The conclusion of the 2023 gubernatorial election held in 28 states, the ruling APC has secured 16 states, leaving the opposition PDP with 10, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) the Labour Party (LP) with one State each.
