The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has Debunked the news making rounds that the commission has opened a portal for the recruitment of Ad hoc staff for the 2023 general election.

The Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi described the recruitment for the 2023 elections as “a thing of the past” – while also stressing that its official website remains shut.

He clarified that the INEC ad hoc staff recruitment portal was officially shut down since Dec. 14, 2022, adding that the alleged website, www.yournewclaims.com/Inec-Recriutment, is fake & intended to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
