The immediate past embattled speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa says he remains the speaker of the Lagos assembly faulting the process of his removal.
Hon. Obasa stated this when he addressed some of his supporters and party faithful at his residence after his return from his Holiday at Atlanta when he was impeached by over two-third members of the Lagos assembly for Mismanagement of fund, lateness to plenary and disregards for other Honorable members of the House of Assembly.
The embattled speaker notes that he wasn’t scared to vacate the speakership seat but maintained that due process must be followed on his removal and lashed out the Lagos commissioner of police for the invasion of his residence at Agege.
In a swift response, the immediate past chairman of the Lagos state House of Assembly Committee on information, Hon. Stephen Ogundipe cautioned the former speaker on his reckless statement of still being in charge, stating that the Honorable members of House of Assembly remain solidly behind the leadership of Speaker Rt.Hon Mojisola Lasbat Meranda.
Hon. Ogundipe therefore, urged the former speaker to toe the line of peace and harmony as being followed by others warning that any attempt to heat up polity by the former speaker will be resisted by the majority of the House.
