Manchester City maintained their perfect start to the new Premier league season with a conformable 5-1 win over Fulham, and remained top of the table.

Other results from the weekend saw Liverpool beat Aston Villa 3-nil, Arsenal beat Manchester United 3-2, Chelsea lost 1-nil to Nothingham forest, Brighton beat Newcastle 3-1, while Crystal Palace beat Wolves 3-2. 

West Ham also beat Luton 2-1, Sheffield drew 2-2 with Everton, Ournemouth drew 2-2 with Brentford, while Tottenham beat Burnley 5-2. The league now takes a break for international matches.
